The Witcher Fan Art

The Witcher III Ice Giant

I know I have been gone for a long time so, I can only promise to try not to disappear again

I haven't got much to say of this painting. It's a still moment shot, where everything is at a tense "pause". The palette is mostly blues and grays,the two figures are at opposite diagonals to each other and, there are many diagonals just all over the picture.

tried to give it a spiritual feel by putting the "camera" low and close to the characters, using the wind, leaves and weather to create mood

Saturated red against desaturated blues and greens by Howard Pyle

it's amazing how the grays looks like violets in  this context

more  saturated or less then it actually is, depending on its surrounding


Color contrast / complement
Color contrast the most with the color which is the farthest in the color wheel
e.g  yellow & violet, blue & orange, red & green. etc
